St. Martins College in London where she found the transition from rigorous
Figurative and Classical disciplines to Contemporary/Representative
teaching a rare combination to use as the basis for her work. Please

This
selection of portraits represents different periods in Ulyana's
work, exploring different artisitic styles based on the personality
of the person portrayed. The nature of the individual is explored
to the highest possible degree with an intense (almost Freudian)
focus on expression, counter-balanced with backgrounds grown
from a more Classical tradition.
